SALEM, Ore. — The City of Salem adopted an emergency measure during their Monday night City Council meeting. It reaffirms Salem as an inclusion city. It’s being done in direct response to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement sweeps and arrests. The move is similar to one made by the City of Woodburn.
About 200 people packed the Salem City chambers Monday, most in support of the measure which passed by a vote of 6-3.
