Clackamas County Medical Examiner confirms identity of missing Hubbard hunter
The Clackamas County Medical Examiner’s Office has confirmed that the remains recovered from the Mount Hood National Forest on Nov. 16 are those of Devon Christopher Dobek, age 51, of Hubbard.
His death has been ruled accidental.
Dobek was first reported missing by friends on Oct. 31, prompting the launch of a large-scale search and rescue mission that lasted for seven days near the Fish Creek Trailhead.
After the coordinated search was suspended, family, friends, and community members organized and continued the search for Dobek, locating his body at the base of a 400-foot cliff eight days later…
