The parking situation in downtown Salem is in flux and the city is asking for your input. It’s no longer FREE to park downtown. They ended their no-charge, on-street parking policy this summer after FIFTY YEARS. Downtown visitors have been using the “Beep Beep” Salem app or paying with a card or coins in the downtown corridor for months…and the city is taking public suggestions on what drivers like best…
