The Woodburn Police Department has presented awards to four officers for their dedication to serving the local community this past year.
Some honorees were recognized for their hard work on cases, while others were celebrated for their community outreach and internal department improvement efforts.
“From setting a daily example of service to others, to securing grant funding that strengthens retail organized crime enforcement, to working on a significant multi-state sex offender case resulting in an arrest and conviction, to coordinating community resources to help an elderly resident reclaim access to their backyard, each of these individuals went above and beyond,” the city said in a statement.
