NICE WEEKEND TO GET OUTSIDE
We ended up just a degree shy of 60° yesterday at PDX. A classic inversion kept Salem under clouds all day, and the same may happen today. There’s some patchy fog in the central valley, but the metro is pretty much fog-free this morning.
With another warm December day in the books, we are officially trending EIGHT degrees above normal! Remember, that’s 8° above the average temperature so far, which takes both high and low temps into account.
This weekend will be great for outdoor activities. Saturday will be dry and mainly cloudy in the valleys. We may see some sunbreaks in the afternoon. The coast and mountains will be sunny and warm! Highs will be in the 50s to low 60s depending on the amount of sunshine.
A weak system arrives overnight, bringing a few light showers Sunday morning. It won’t be enough rain to cancel plans.
