Corvallis barn fire under investigation; home saved by crews

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Early on Friday morning, a barn fire broke out in Linn County just east of Corvallis and caused significant damage, according to the Corvallis Fire Department.

CFD officials said that responding crews arrived just past 4 a.m. on Dec. 12 to find the outbuilding fully engulfed in flames, threatening a nearby home. Firefighters quickly set up hose lines to protect the residence and tackle the blaze.

While the home sustained heat damage, firefighters successfully prevented the fire from spreading inside. The barn was a total loss, and a nearby shed was heavily damaged…
