Two Arrested After Early-Morning Fuel Theft, Hit-and-Run in Royal City

ROYAL CITY – Two men were arrested early Friday morning after a fuel pump alarm alerted a property owner to a gasoline theft in unincorporated Royal City.

According to the Grant County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded around 4 a.m. to the 11000 block of Road 9-Southwest after a property owner discovered two men stealing fuel from his property. When the owner attempted to block the suspects’ vehicle with his pickup, the running vehicle struck the owner’s truck as it fled the scene.

Deputies later located and stopped the vehicle on the Adams Road and Interstate 90 overpass…
