Albany Police responded to a suspected fentanyl overdose that killed a 35-year-old man; a 26-year-old suspect was later arrested on drug charges.
Albany, OR. — A 35-year-old Albany man died Saturday morning following a suspected fentanyl overdose, and detectives have since arrested a suspect on multiple drug-related charges.
According to the Albany Police Department, officers were dispatched at approximately 10:39 a.m. on December 13, 2025, to a residence in the 4000 block of Edgewater Drive NE after receiving a report of a possible overdose. When officers arrived, family members were performing CPR.
Officers immediately administered Narcan and took over lifesaving efforts until paramedics from the Albany Fire Department arrived. Despite continued medical intervention, the individual showed no signs of life, and resuscitation efforts were discontinued…
