Flooding, Oregon power outages forecast as next storm to hit Thursday

Another powerful atmospheric river is forecast to hit Oregon late this week, bringing potential flooding, landslides and power outages, according to the National Weather Service in Portland.

The storm, which is expected to begin around 4 a.m. on Dec. 18 and last for 24 to 36 hours, could drop 2-4 inches of rain in the Willamette Valley and 6-10 inches in the mountains, forecasters said…
