On a bike ride Tuesday I had a chance to check in on the ambitious project to restore and enlarge what is said to be the oldest surviving wood-framed commercial building in downtown Albany.
This is the so-called Briggs Building at 333 West First Ave. I’ve mentioned this address twice before. In April 2023, I reported on the renovation project when it was pending before the Albany Landmarks Commission, which subsequently approved it. And here is the update from October last year.
