2 dead after car leaves Oregon highway, crashes into trees

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – Two people were killed in a single-vehicle crash on Highway 99W early Thursday morning, according to Oregon State Police.

Officers responded to the crash near milepost 30.5 around 4:45 a.m. and found a silver Toyota Camry. The driver in the car, 33-year-old Jackie Sue Williams of Dundee, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators say the woman was traveling northbound on Hwy 99W, passing multiple vehicles, when she lost control of the vehicle and left the roadway on the right side before hitting “several trees.”…
