PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — After a dog was abandoned at a flooded Woodburn property, authorities from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office rescued the canine and then arrested the owner.
MCSO deputies responded to the property in the 3000 block of Molalla Rd. NE on Sunday after receiving a report that a dog had been left behind during an evacuation.
“Deputies found a German Shepherd, Bruno, trapped in a partially submerged kennel and standing in cold floodwater. The dog was safely rescued and transported to an emergency veterinary clinic before being taken to the Marion County Dog Shelter,” officials said. “Bruno is now safe and receiving care.”
Fidencio Cruz Hernandez was arrested on Monday and was charged with animal abandonment and second-degree animal neglect. He was lodged in the Marion County Jail…
