The city of Aurora and Oregon Aviation Department have settled the city’s lawsuit to stop the state from submitting its proposed master plan for the Aurora State Airport to the Federal Aviation Administration.
As part of the settlement, the Department of Aviation put out a statement on Dec. 29 that it would hold a public hearing on the master plan in Salem, send written notice to people in Aurora and give public notice 30 days before the meeting.
Also from the settlement, the Oregon Aviation Board is required to vote whether to adopt the master plan and land use findings. If adopted, the department and FAA will sign the airport layout plan…
