Two bugs not native to Oregon made headlines in the northern part of the state as infestations were detected.
Since first discovered in 2022, more emerald ash borers were detected in the Portland metro area and Yamhill County. Additionally, a new pest entered the ecological landscape: the Mediterranean ash borer.
