School bus delays in Lebanon after catalytic converter theft

LEBANON, Ore. – The Lebanon Community School District is dealing with a transportation issue after a break-in at their transportation yard.

According to the district, six school buses had their catalytic converters stolen, leading to delays in some bus routes. Superintendent Jennifer Meckley emphasized their commitment to student safety.

“Student safety is always our top priority,” Meckley said. “While this incident was an unfortunate discovery this morning, our transportation team acted quickly to ensure our remaining buses were safe and operational and I commend them for their quick work.”…
