Domestic violence suspect shot by 2 Albany officers

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Two members of the Albany Police Department were placed on administrative leave after an officer-involved shooting took place on Tuesday morning, officials said.

Police responded to a residence in the 1300 block of Twins Lane NW just after 10:45 a.m. after receiving a report of a domestic disturbance. Authorities say the officers encountered someone with a knife.

“Two officers on scene discharged their firearms, striking the subject who had the knife. Officers immediately rendered medical aid until emergency personnel arrived. The subject was transported to an area hospital for treatment and their condition is unknown,” police said…
