PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A person of interest is in custody after a man was stabbed in Salem on Wednesday afternoon.
Officers responded to the scene on the 4500 block of Commercial St. SE around 3:06 p.m., according to Salem Police spokesperson Jonathan Hardy.

The sergeant revealed firefighters have since transported the adult male stabbing victim to a nearby hospital for medical care. Authorities said his current condition remains unknown, but they have detained another man who is being investigated by the Violent Crimes Unit after being identified as a person of interest in the case.
According to Hardy, “there is no indication of any ongoing threat or danger to the public.”…
