Yamhill County Sheriff’s Office Seeks Volunteers for Enforcement Reserve Deputy Program

Volunteers seeking a different kind of role in law enforcement have a chance to apply for the Reserve Program at the Yamhill County Sheriff’s Office. In a recent social media post, the Yamhill County Sheriff’s Office is inviting applications for individuals interested in serving as Enforcement Reserve Deputies. According to the post, these volunteers will work alongside full-time law enforcement personnel, engaging in the protection of life and property and receiving the same high-quality training as regular deputies.

Reserve Deputies at the Yamhill County Sheriff’s Office play a critical role, supplementing and assisting regular sworn deputies in their duties while dealing with varied 8, 10, or 12-hour shifts. They are expected to support regular shifts, special events, holidays, and weekends, sometimes working in various special assignments as required. As the sheriff’s office stated, “Enforcement Reserve Deputies work along-side full-time law enforcement personnel in the protection of life and property as guided by federal, state, and local laws and ordinances.”…
