Salem suspect with possible gang ties arrested for pulling gun

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – A Salem man with potential gang ties was arrested Thursday after allegedly threatening a victim with a gun in late December, Salem police announced.

The arrest stems from a menacing incident on December 29, 2025 on Knox Avenue, near Edina Lane Northeast, according to police.

The victim, a 48-year-old Salem man, reported the suspect pulled up next to him in a red Kia Altima with no license plates while he was walking.
