WOW it felt like spring out there Thursday! Temperatures were in the upper 50s and low 60s in some spots of the metro area. It stayed a bit cooler in areas under full blast of the east wind- like Troutdale. The east side was already seeing wind in the 20-30 mph range with gusts 30-50 by Thursday afternoon.

STRONG EAST WIND STICKS AROUND

That east wind isn’t going to let up through the next few days, possibly not easing up until Tuesday. It will likely be even stronger Friday (gusting to 70 mph or so around Vista House). That’ll force cooler air that’s pooling east of the Cascades through the Gorge and into the metro area, cooling our low temperatures back into the 30s and high temperatures in the upper 40s Sunday and Monday. Calm spots like areas west of Beaverton will still get much chillier overnight and likely see slightly warmer afternoon temperatures…
