Albany teen pedestrian dies after being struck by vehicle driven by older sister

ALBANY, Ore. – A vehicle versus pedestrian crash claimed the life of an Albany teenager on Friday, according to the Albany Police Department.

APD officials said that 16-year old Paige Michael Charlene McClintock was struck by a vehicle driven by her 18-year-old sibling on Southeast 19th Avenue near Southeast Tudor Way. The incident happened as McClintock and another sibling were pushing a tool chest in the street.

Despite immediate medical attention and being rushed to Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center, McClintock succumbed to her injuries. The motorist, who was driving a white 2005 Nissan Altima, cooperated with authorities, and impairment is not suspected, police said. The Albany Fire Department responded to the scene, and the vehicle has been seized for further investigation.
