It’s almost time for the dining industry’s version of the Golden Globes, and the chef of well-known Newberg outpost is among those vying for a top title.
This year’s James Beard Awards semifinalists were announced Wednesday, Jan. 21. Jack Strong of JORY Restaurant at The Allison Inn & Spa is one of 20 who made the cut for Best Chef of the Northwest & Pacific, including chefs in Oregon, Washington, Alaska and Hawaii.
“This recognition honors Chef Jack’s leadership, integrity, vision and passion for our culinary program, as well as the pride he takes in his team,” The Allison Inn & Spa said in a statement. “We are so grateful to celebrate this well-deserved moment with him.”…
