SALEM, Ore. (KPTV) – A wanted armed robbery suspect was arrested following a pursuit along Interstate 5 on Monday, according to the Salem Police Department.
The armed robbery happened at about 1:20 a.m. on Jan. 26, at an apartment in the 4100 block of Market Street NE. Police said two suspects armed with handguns forced their way into the apartment, threatened the residents, stole items, and then fled.
Later that day, at about 11:51 p.m., officers located the suspect’s car leaving the Winco parking lot near Lancaster Drive and Rickey Street SE. Officers followed the car and tried to set up spike strips as it was heading northbound on I-5, but the suspect took off, leading to a pursuit…
