NEWBERG Ore. (KPTV) – A person was hurt in a two-alarm house fire in rural Newberg on Saturday night, according to Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue.
Just after 8 p.m., crews were sent to a house on Old Parrett Mountain Road. The 911 caller said the kitchen was on fire, and firefighters arrived to find the house engulfed in flames.
Everyone was able to get out of the house, but one person was hurt when he tried to get back inside to search for a missing cat. His injuries seemed minor, but he was taken to a hospital for a medical evaluation.
The road was closed for several hours while crews worked, and the cause of the fire is still being investigated…
