PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — An injured logger was successfully rescued from the Alsea Falls Recreation Area in Oregon Friday morning, authorities said.
The accident was reported just after 11:30 a.m., drawing a response to the forested area by the Corvallis Fire Department and other emergency crews.

When first responders arrived, they located the hurt worker, who sustained his injury from an accident during an active logging operation.
“Due to steep terrain and limited access, the rescue required a high level of coordination between multiple agencies and on-scene personnel,” the Corvallis Fire Department said in a Facebook post. “Members of the logging crew assisted with access, scene safety, and initial patient care, while Corvallis Fire Department, Oregon Department of Forestry, and Monroe Fire District personnel worked together to safely package, extract, and transport the injured individual from the remote location.”…
