Dallas, OR. – A West Salem man has been sentenced to four years in prison following his conviction on felony assault and strangulation charges stemming from a December 2025 incident.
Gregory James Paul Chaplin, 39, of northeast Salem, was sentenced to 48 months in custody by Polk County Circuit Judge Rafael A. Caso. A jury unanimously found Chaplin guilty of Felony Strangulation Constituting Domestic Violence and Felony Assault in the Fourth Degree Constituting Domestic Violence.
