PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – A Vancouver, Wash. man was arrested over the weekend following a McMinnville police chase that led to a drug bust, according to authorities.
Just before 8:45 a.m. on Feb. 21, McMinnville police officers were investigating a hit-and-run along Southwest Old Sheridan Road when a citizen reported a male was “’slumped’” over in a nearby vehicle.
Officers contacted the driver, later identified as 32-year-old Ian Cavota, who was passed out behind the wheel of a Chevy Malibu with drug paraphernalia in plain view, according to authorities.
