Rainy weather slams roadways as deadline looms to expedite ODOT gas tax vote

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – Oregon transportation workers are working to keep the roads safe during this rainy weather as they await approval for more funding for their work.

Across the state, the atmospheric river caused a rocky start to the work week for many residents. In South Portland, traffic on I-5 Southbound reached a standstill after a rockslide on Monday afternoon, impacting two cars.
