WOODBURN, Ore. — The Woodburn Fire District has an $8 million dollar levy on the May 19th ballot. Chief Jim Walker says they need it to pass in order to keep their 2nd engine staffed with 8 firefighters as a 3 year federal grant is due to expire.
Walker says they’re hoping the community will partner with them to invest and keep their 911 call responses down. He says they work to provide EMT, paramedic and fire responses to a minimum. But, the median age of Woodburn residents continues to go up whis is helping to add to medical calls…
