Siuslaw Forest hiring elite firefighters in Corvallis and Alsea

CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Siuslaw National Forest is looking to fill four permanent wildland fire positions to support local fire engine operations. The positions are crucial for disaster response and forest health in Oregon’s coastal forests.

Applications will be accepted from March 10 through March 20, on USAJobs.gov. The available roles include a Supervisory Fire Engine Operator, Fire Engine Operator, Assistant Fire Engine Operator, and Senior Firefighter. These positions vary in grade and location, with some based in Alsea and others in Corvallis.
