PORTLAND, Ore. — A Marion County grand jury has been convened to examine conditions and management at the Oregon State Hospital, Marion County District Attorney Paige Clarkson announced Friday.
The inquiry, required under Oregon law, will review the Salem-based psychiatric hospital’s operations, capacity issues and public safety impacts. A similar review of the MacLaren Youth Correctional Facility in Woodburn was completed last year.
