Salem operation catches fugitives; meth and guns seized

SALEM, Ore. – Salem police and the U.S. Marshals Service teamed up to boost community safety by executing a search warrant on Thursday, according to the Salem Police Department.

This operation, involving a search warrant executed at a home on Front Street Northeast, led to the arrest of five individuals with outstanding warrants. According to the Salem Police Department, the U.S. Marshals were in Salem to capture Christopher Fought and Ila Huff, both with parole violation warrants from Deschutes County. During the operation, firearms and drug paraphernalia were found, prompting Salem detectives to assist. The search resulted in the seizure of suspected methamphetamine, fentanyl, firearms, and body armor. They also apprehended three others, including Christopher Snyder, Victoria Hernandez, and Kayla Rose, for various warrants. Snyder had a parole violation warrant out of Douglas County, while Hernandez was wanted out of Linn County on a felon in possession of a firearm warrant.
