LEBANON, Ore. – Willamette Speedway is making waves as it celebrates its 60th anniversary by joining the NASCAR Weekly Racing Series powered by O’Reilly Auto Parts. This move marks a significant milestone for the “fastest one-third mile dirt track on the West Coast.”
According to promoters Cory and Sandy Penfold, the speedway will sanction six core divisions, offering local drivers a chance to compete for track, state, regional, and national honors. The divisions include Albany Toyota Late Models and J&K Auto Body & Collision Street Stocks, among others.
The inclusion in NASCAR brings significant changes, especially for the Modified divisions, which will now be combined into a single division. This change is expected to lead to more competitive racing in the region…
