Salem warns public to avoid Pringle Creek after raw sewage leak

The city of Salem is warning residents to avoid contact with a portion of Pringle Creek after it was contaminated with untreated sewage.

About 165 gallons of sewage spilled into the creek from a leak in a 42-inch sewer pipe that runs horizontally under a bridge in the 600 block of Church Street SE, city officials said.
