Health Officials Warn Of Measles Exposure At Two Salem Locations

Health officials in Oregon Health Authority and Marion County Public Health are alerting residents about potential measles exposure at two locations in Salem and urging anyone who may have been exposed to contact a health care provider.

According to officials, exposure may have occurred at the following sites:

  • The emergency department waiting room at Salem Health Hospital, located at 890 Oak St. S.E., between 6:10 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. on Monday, March 16.
  • The second-floor upper level of Kaiser Permanente Skyline Medical Office, 5125 Skyline Road S., between 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. on Friday, March 13.

People who were at either location during those times may have been exposed to measles, a highly contagious viral disease. Health officials advise anyone who believes they were exposed to immediately contact their health care provider before visiting a clinic or hospital, to avoid potentially spreading the virus.
