OSU SB: Strong Seventh Inning Not Enough in Loss at Idaho State

POCATELLO, Idaho – A three-run seventh inning wasn’t enough as Oregon State softball fell, 7-3, to Idaho State on Friday at Miller Ranch Stadium.

After a scoreless first six innings, OSU in the top of the seventh loaded the bases with one out after a Genevieve Beacom single and Madison Weir base on balls were followed by yet another single, this time off the bat of Paige Bambarger. Mya Harrison then walked to drive in a run, which was followed by Jaeya Butler singling in another and a Lici Campbell sacrifice fly to make it three.

Harrison finished the game 1-3 with that walk while Campbell was also 1-3. Butler was 1-4 and Tessa Hogue hit 1-2 with a run scored. Bambarger, who entered as a pinch hitter, was 1-1, while Alliyah Rodriguez returned to the lineup and finished 1-1 with a walk.
