Nine schools in the Salem-Keizer School District have been honored with National Unified Champion School banners from Special Olympics Unified Champion Schools. The award celebrates schools that make inclusion a core part of their culture through Unified Sports, inclusive student leadership, and whole-school engagement.
These programs bring students with and without disabilities together as teammates, leaders, and event organizers, helping build understanding and empathy across the school community.
