Linn-Benton Community College board approves 7% tuition hike starting in 2026/27 school year

ALBANY, Ore. – The Linn-Benton Community College Board of Education approved a 7% tuition increase for the 2026-27 academic year during its March meeting.

The increase will raise in-state tuition by $10.50 per credit hour and fees by $1.20 per credit hour. The new tuition rates will take effect for students registering for Summer classes, which begin June 23. According to LBCC, in-state tuition will be $160.30 and out-of-state tuition will be $372.55. The college addressed its budget deficit without eliminating a single credit academic program.

“This was not an easy decision, and we explored every option before arriving here,” said LBCC Board of Education Chair Jeff Davis. “Through difficult work, the college was able to address its budget deficit without eliminating a single credit academic program, and this tuition increase is part of what makes that possible.”…
