Linn-Benton Community College Board of Education approves tuition increase

ALBANY, Ore. — The Linn-Benton Community College Board of Education approved a 7% tuition increase for the 2026-27 academic year during its March meeting.

The increase will raise in-state tuition by $10.50 per credit hour and fees by $1.20 per credit hour.

“As someone who has been an employee, student, and board member here, I know firsthand the value LBCC provides and the real cost that tuition increases carry for students and families,” said LBCC Board of Education Chair Jeff Davis. “This was not an easy decision, and we explored every option before arriving here. Through difficult work, the college was able to address its budget deficit without eliminating a single credit academic program, and this tuition increase is part of what makes that possible. Our commitment to students doesn’t waver, and part of honoring that commitment is ensuring LBCC remains on solid financial footing to serve our communities for years to come.”…
