SALEM, OR — A routine morning at the Marion County Courthouse turned into a high-stakes law enforcement operation Thursday as federal agents moved in to arrest two individuals, resulting in a physical struggle in a public hallway.
Shortly after 8:00 AM on March 26, 2026, agents from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) arrived at the courthouse to execute federal arrest warrants. One warrant, signed by a U.S. Magistrate Judge, targeted 39-year-old Daniel Lopez-Mojica, who was scheduled for a felony court appearance later that morning.
