Salem to Close Riverfront and Bush’s Pasture Park Playgrounds for Upgrades Starting April 13

SALEM, Ore. — Two popular Salem park playgrounds will close beginning Monday, April 13, as the city begins improvement projects aimed at upgrading play areas for families and children.

At Riverfront Park, the playground will shut down for a full replacement project. Dalke Construction, the general contractor for the job, will install a construction fence around the playground area, and several parking spaces in the south parking lot will be temporarily used as a staging area during the work. In addition, the restroom closest to the playground will be closed for the duration of construction.
