SALEM, Ore. (KPTV) – The Salem Police Department investigated a crash that killed a bicyclist on Monday afternoon.
Just after 4:30 p.m., officers responded to a crash involving a bicyclist at the intersection of Pringle Road Southeast and Madrona Avenue Southeast. Officers arrived and found the bicyclist, 54-year-old Marvin William Miller, of Salem, dead.
An investigation showed a driver in a utility work van turned right from northbound Pringle Road SE on a green light to go eastbound on Madrona Avenue SE. Miller was in the bicycle lane on the east side of Pringle Road SE, continued northbound and fell to the ground, then was hit by the van…
