MARION COUNTY Ore. (KPTV) – A Marion County Grand Jury found that two sheriff’s deputies were justified in shooting at a suspect during a standoff in Aumsville that ended with the suspect’s death on March 29.
According to the Marion County District Attorney’s Office on Friday, the jury ruled on Thursday that the deputies, Rick Kittelson and Benjamin Theodoriches, followed the law when they shot at 47-year-old Brian Guy Baker of Aumsville. Additionally, the grand jury ruled that Baker died from a self-inflicted gunshot.
