PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – Eight people are facing charges for their alleged role in a drug trafficking ring, in which members in Oregon hid fentanyl and methamphetamine in cereal boxes and children’s toys, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Oregon announced Thursday.
The eight people are facing charges for intent to distribute and possession with the intent to distribute methamphetamine and fentanyl.
According to court documents, the group transported meth and fentanyl into California from Mexico before the drugs were distributed to other states through shipping carriers or sometimes hidden in children’s toys or cereal boxes…
