SALEM, Ore. (KATU) — Marion County has filed a federal lawsuit against the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers over its proposal to dramatically lower water levels at Detroit Lake, arguing the agency failed to complete a federally-required turbidity study before moving forward with the project.
County commissioners formally announced the lawsuit on Wednesday during a Board of Commissioners meeting.
