PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A case against an Oregon mother accused of killing her child has been closed.
Records show Linn County Circuit Court Judge Keith Stein dismissed an aggravated murder charge against Rebekah Gasperino on Tuesday. The 36-year-old woman has been committed to the Oregon State Hospital after authorities found she is unlikely to become mentally competent enough to stand trial for the death of her daughter Sophia, Linn County court officials told KOIN 6.
