Woodburn Police search for owner after dog found abandoned tied to cement block

WOODBURN, Ore. (KATU) — Woodburn police responding to an animal complaint found an abandoned dog early Wednesday morning, the department reported on social media.

Police said officers found a German shepherd tied to a rock and a parked vehicle in the 600 block of Willow Avenue around 5:20 a.m. Wednesday.

The dog was given food and water and taken to the Woodburn Police Department’s dog shelter. It is expected to be transported to the Marion County Dog Shelter…
