New grants help Corvallis teachers cover costs of job changes

CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Corvallis Public Schools Foundation and Benton County Schools Credit Union launched a new funding program to help educators moving into new roles.

According to the Corvallis Public Schools Foundation, the Staff Resource Grants will provide up to $500 per staff member affected by reassignment. The money will help cover out-of-pocket costs for supplies, materials and other resources.

The program starts in the 2026-2027 school year. Schools and staff are preparing for transitions related to school closures and reassignment changes, which can create unexpected personal expenses for educators…
