31 million pounds of dirt dumped into Rice-Eccles Stadium to prepare for Monster Jam World Finals XXV

SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — More than 750 truckloads of dirt, totaling more than 31 million pounds, have been dumped into Rice-Eccles Stadium in preparation for the Monster Jam World Finals XXV.

In preparation for the biggest Monster Jam event of the year, dirt crews are about to begin the Rice-Eccles Stadium transformation, exchanging the shiny green turf for a dirt track battleground.

Monster Jam World Finals XXV, presented by the Utah Sports Commission, is set to be held at Rice-Eccles Stadium next week, but before then, the stadium will be getting a dirty makeover. More than 750 truckloads of dirt, totaling 31 million pounds, have already been dumped onto the stadium floor, and crews are readying to begin the track-building process on Wednesday…
