Red Flag Warning issued for eastern Utah as fire danger persists

SALT LAKE CITY (KUTV) — Fire danger will continue across eastern Utah on Monday. A Red Flag Warning will be in effect from noon to 8 p.m.

Southwest winds of 10 to 20 mph, with gusts up to 35 mph, could cause any new fires to spread rapidly.

The powerful cold front that moved through over the weekend brought much cooler air, prompting a Freeze Warning Monday morning for parts of Nevada. The system could also bring another round of snow to northern Utah ski resorts Monday morning.
